Ambulance Controller Jason Hodson Charged with Kiddy Porn Blames his Mother

An ambulance controller told a court his mother may have been responsible for thousands of sick images of children being raped which were found on his computer.

Father-of-one Jason Hodson, 24, of Whyteleafe Hill, Whyteleafe, was arrested after

police uncovered almost 12,000 vile and indecent photographs of young girls, some on his 999 computer.

But Hodson repeatedly denied downloading the images and said it was possible his mother may have been the one responsible.

Graham Smith, prosecuting, said: "She may have had access to all of the computers used in the case, but the Crown believes this is nonsense and asks the jury to use their commonsense."

The jury at Kingston Crown Court had earlier heard Mr Smith say Hodson hoarded his warped collection on his work computer, two of his own laptops, his girlfriend's computer, and even two machines owned by his mother.

The South East Coast Ambulance Service controller's charge sheet referred to images called "child bondage rape" and "pre-teen model girls and boys".

Many of the vile images recovered were categorised at level five, reserved for the most extreme and degrading acts of child abuse.

Police arrested Hodson after a tip-off by the ambulance trust when a faulty laptop he returned contained thousands of pornographic pictures. Pornographic images were also recovered from his mobile telephone.

Hodson has pleaded not guilty to 45 charges of possessing child pornography. Closing speeches were made today (Wednesday) and the jury has retired to consider its verdict.
