Sex killer Peter Tobin plays games in jail with paedophile policeman Iain Duncan

Sex killer Peter Tobin has struck up a prison friendship with a shamed paedophile cop - over board games.

The murderer of schoolgirl Vicky Hamilton and student Angelika Kluk spends hours playing Connect Four and Scrabble with Iain Duncan, 28.

Both Tobin, 62, and former child protection officer Duncan - whose stash of kiddie porn was branded "barbaric" - have been made outcasts even in jail because of the depravity of their crimes.

Both are terrified of associating with other cons and instead flit between each other's cells to play the games over plates of toast and cheese.

An insider said: "The people jailed in Peterhead are the sort of guys who would be targets in other prisons. They are mainly sex offenders - that's why the prison doesn't have a sex offenders wing.

"But even they won't talk to Tobin and Duncan because of their crimes - although the fact Duncan was a cop doesn't help either.

"I suppose the only real surprise is that they'll tolerate each other.

"When there is free recreation they visit each other to play Scrabble and Connect Four."

Duncan, from Bishopbriggs, had joined Strathclyde Police's Child Protection Unit just eight days before disturbing material was found on computers in his home.

The PC, whose son was only six months at the time, had vile porn featuring babies and toddlers being sexually abused and tortured.

He was jailed for four years in March and the trial judge made an order barring publication of the name of the website he used because the material was so disgusting.

Tobin, 62, will die behind bars after being sentenced to spend a minimum of 30 years in prison for the 1991 murder of Vicky, 15, from Redding, Falkirk.

He was already serving life for the murder of Angelika, 23, from Poland, at a Glasgow church when Vicky's remains were found and he was brought to justice for her killing.
