Lachlan Anderson 'swapped porn over a cup of tea', abuse trial hears

A convicted paedophile told a trial yesterday that he swapped child porn with the boss of an advice centre for gay youngsters over a cup of tea.
Lachlan Anderson, 51, from Cumbernauld, presently serving a 20-month sentence, said he met James Rennie, of Edinburgh, for the handover.

Later, Anderson's photo collection was found to include pictures allegedly showing Rennie, 38, abusing a baby boy.

Rennie, the former chief executive of Leith-based help centre LGBT Youth Scotland, denies charges ranging from possession of child porn to simulated sex with a boy as young as three months old.

The trial also heard that Anderson and another man had discussed an offer by Rennie to abuse the tot and allow them to listen to the abuse over the phone. Rennie is one of eight men facing charges ranging from the possession of child porn to serious sexual abuse of young children. They all deny the charges. The trial continues.
