Application Settings
This section lets you block certain applications (also known as programs or software) from being opened on the Computer. This section has two main options. Each option has a tickbox asking if you want to apply any of these rules to all users on the computer.
On Violation:
This section lets you choose what Sentry should do when an application in the block list is opened. You have the following options:
1) Close Application
2) Close Application and Send Notification
3) Send Notification
4) Take no Action

These 4 options give you the flexibility to say, for example, not to let your child to have access to World of Warcraft until their homework is done. This means that you can add "warcraft.exe" to the block list and have options 1 or 2 enabled. One you know your child has done their homework you can simply log in, then choose option 4 allowing them access. Notifications are sent to the email address(es) and/or mobile number(s) you may have entered in the
PC Settings
Page. This section has a tickbox asking if you want to apply any of these rules to all users on the computer.
Restricted Application List:
This list is where you actually add the applications you want to block/restrict/monitor. You have the option of browsing the Computer for the application, or entering it in manually in the space provided. You can also see what potential applications can be blocked by looking within the
Application Logs
Page and noticing some applications that you may have missed.
